Kitty Hawk – Wild Horses of Currituck 4/25/18

We saw a rocket launch a few weeks ago, now back to the beginning of aviation.  It was only 66 years from the first flight to putting a man on the moon.  Wow!

This is a pretty flowering vine.

Where the flights lifted off the metal rail.

Record of the first 4 flights, all on 12/17/1903.

Wright brothers hangar and office/home.

Replica of first plane.

After leaving Kitty Hawk, we drove to a spot that you could take a 4WD vehicle onto the beach.  Dave had a blast!  We were hoping to see some of the wild horses but were not optomistic.

Driving on the beach,

Success!!

Pit stop at Fishbones Sunset Grill in Duck, NC with a storm brewing.

We chose the Magic Marlin and it was simply delicious!

After the storm.
