Mt. Rushmore 9/4/17

Our last day in the Hills was much chillier.  The lowest point was in the 50’s as we “threaded the needle” near the top of the Needles Highway.

The sites were breathtaking but there were times when Jo refused to look to the right.  The downward view as too scary!

Another scary moment (to Jo) was seeing the buffalo in Custer State Park.  We were not able to see too many but this one was near the road.  He stood up as we got there and showed his “ready to charge” stance.  I urged Dave to turn the bike around quickly and MOVE!!!

The last stop was Mount Rushmore.  I hope everyone reading this has had an opportunity to visit this great memorial and the other points of interest along the way.
